DESCRIPTION:
Planktonic foraminiferal oxygen isotope data from Cariaco Basin piston cores 
PL07-39PC and PL07-43PC. Records from these two cores are spliced together to 
produce a data series spanning the past 28,000 years. Oxygen isotope data 
are included for multiple species: Globigerina bulloides, Neogloboquadrina dutertrei, 
Globigerinoides ruber (white morphotype) and Globigerinoides ruber (pink morphotype).

PL07-39PC   10o42.00’ N, 64o56.50’ W; W.D. = 790 m
PL07-43PC   10o44.80’ N, 65o11.30’ W; W.D. = 819 m
W.D. = water depth below sea level

VARIABLE NAMES AND UNITS:
Column 1: Sample depth in core in cm.

Column 2:  Age, in corrected radiocarbon years.

Columns 3, 4, and 5: Oxygen isotope data for G. bulloides, N. dutertrei, and G. ruber (white), 
in per mil PDB.

Note:  Data on the pink morphotype of G. ruber are less dense and have separate depth and 
age entries in columns 6 and 7.

Column 6:  Sample depth for G. ruber (pink) data in cm.

Column 7:  Age for samples in column 6, in corrected radiocarbon years.

Column 8:  Oxygen isotope data for G. ruber (pink).
