DESCRIPTION: DSDP Site 502 North Atlantic Deep Water d13C Data DSDP Site 502: 11N 80W 3051 m. The Site 502 data, as published in Oppo (1995) and de Menocal (1992), are in a file named 502.pub.data.txt. In the Oppo et al. publication, we point out that a correction was necessary to bring the WHOI data in alignment with the LDEO data. At the time, WHOI did not apply a correction for mixing within the source of the reference gas and sample gas. This correction has now been applied to the 502 data, and are in a file called 502.new.data.txt. If these data are used, the two papers above should be referenced, as well as Ostermann (2000). In the Oppo et al., 1995 publication, only samples which produced a voltage of ~2V or greater were included. Data collected at lower voltage are included in the 502.new.data.txt file, and the user is welcomed to choose her or his own cutoff.
