Alberta Geological Survey, Mineral Core Research Facility earth science/paleoclimate/repository STUDY NOTES: Repository of drill core and cuttings. The repository is a collection of drill core and drill cuttings recovered primarily from oil, gas, and potash exploration by industry in the southern part of the province. This material, plus rock and mineral samples from mapping of the Precambrian Shield and some northern drill core, is housed in the Subsurface Geological Laboratory where examination facilities (including a confidential room) are available.
