British Geological Survey earth science/paleoclimate/repository STUDY NOTES: Repository of cores, biostratigraphical collections, rocks, geochemistry related data, and much more. The repository has over 3 million specimens and over 500 km of cores. It is a UK National Collection, managed by British Geological Survey, formerly housed in the Geological Museum South Kensington, London. The earliest materials are from the 1820s. They include core and cuttings from all British onshore and offshore hydrocarbon wells.
