Lamont-Doherty Core Repository, Columbia University earth science/paleoclimate/repository STUDY NOTES: Repository and database of sediment cores from every major ocean or sea. It contains 72 km of piston, trigger weight, box, kasten, and large diameter gravity cores. It also holds dredge and grab samples. The database includes geographic location, core length, mineralogy and paleontology, lithology, megascopic descriptions, and geological structure for each site.
