Data-Interpolating Variational Analysis (DIVA) earth science/paleoclimate/software STUDY NOTES: A software package that allows for the spatial interpolation of data (analysis) in an optimal way. In comparison to optimal interpolation (OI), DIVA takes into account coastlines, sub-basins, and advection. Tools are also provided to optimize the parameters of the analysis, as well as to generate the finite element mesh. Error fields can be calculated, and 3D and 4D extensions are included.
