  <Summary>
Records of past climate and environment from historical references and documentary evidence such as church records, harvest dates, and diaries. Parameter keywords describe what was measured in this data set. Additional summary information can be found in the abstracts of papers listed in the data set citations.

          STUDY NOTES: Diary and instrumental historical weather records from New England states
(Northeastern United States). Data table and abbreviation keys exported
from the Microsoft Access databse file oldweather.mdb created by Zielinski et al.
in a project funded by the US National Science Foundation. Observed values
are stored in the large (21MB) database export file new-england-oldweather-data.txt.
