STUDY NOTES: Repository of paleontological fossils. The museum holds several hundred palaeontological specimens, mostly collected locally. The material includes trilobites, graptolites, sponges, brachiopods, echinoderms, palaeoscolecidan worms, nautiloids, molluscs. The material forms an excellent record of the Middle Ordovician faunas in the local area (the Builth Inlier). There are also a few taxidermy specimens and examples of rock types, but these are of no great significance.
