  <Summary>
Tree ring data from the International Tree Ring Data Bank and World Data Center for Paleoclimatology archives. Most data sets include raw treering measurements (most are annual ring width, with some collections of earlywood or latewood width or wood density), plus chronologies (standardized growth indices for a site compiled from multiple treering samples). Reconstructions of climate variables are included with some of these data sets. Each data type is stored in a separate data file; the data type is coded into the file name. For details please see: http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/paleo/treeinfo.htmll
          STUDY NOTES: Spruce table from a mid 19th century English double bass
# belonging to Mr Roy Chilton, Trinity School, Croydon, Surrey U.K.
# The front is in four pieces, two of which are adequately measurable.
# The two central sections are from a book matched radially cut
# spruce wedge. Those two series, 1 and 2, contain very strong
# and representative signal resulting in highly significant
# statistical crossdating t-values with reference chronologies,
# the highest one being t=10.4, (t-values according to Baillie
# and Pilcher 1973) for the mean of the two series crossdated with
# the F. Schweingruber?s PCAB Obersaxen/Meierhof chronology from
# central Switzerland, strongly suggesting likely wood origin.
# Also statistically significant cross-matches of t&gt;4 with
# over 500 sequences from musical instruments from various
# parts of Europe.
