Contents of this folder: readme-sherriff2014.txt - this file FR_IMPD_Sites_091714.xlsx - Microsoft Excel file that contains metadata about sites and serves as a key to the contents of the "CSV" and "fhx" folders. fhx - folder that contains ".fhx" Fire History Exchange format files CSV - folder that contains Establishment data files in comma separated value format Information about this contribution and the contents of FR_IMPD_Sites_091714.xlsx follow: 1. This contribution adds to some existing sites already in the IMPD. These sites have existing site-level data (fire history) and Sherriff et al. are adding information (age structure); IMPD code is also listed in column L). This is for 10 existing IMPD sites (rows 82-93), in one case there are three different age structure files (different aspect locations) for a single fire history site (USBM-015). 2. Some "new" sites are referencing existing IMPD sites that were used for supplemental fire history in addition to the new fire history information that is included for those sites (rows 53, 58, 59, 62, 67, 70, 75, 81). This information will ultimately go into the metadata. 3. Some sites have multiple publications listed (fire history and then fire/age structure). Only listed the first publication for which each dataset (fire history or age structure) was published is listed. The final reference for Sherriff et al. 2014 will be added when the paper is published. 3. A number of sites in the fhx folder have old file endings (.dat) that worked in the old FHX2 software where they were created (rows 34-51), they will be verified for compatability with the Fire History Analysis and Exploration System (FHAES) [ https://www.frames.gov/partner-sites/fhaes/fhaes-home/ ].
