Here, we present a stalagmite-based \r\nreconstruction of tropical West Pacific hydroclimate from 570 \r\nto 210 ka. The results suggest similar regional precipitation \r\namounts across the four interglacials contained in the record, \r\nimplying that tropical hydroclimate was insensitive to interglacial \r\ndifferences in PCO2 and high-latitude temperature. In contrast, \r\nduring glacial terminations, drying in the tropical West Pacific \r\naccompanied cooling events in northern high latitudes.
