The proxy-to-proxy (PTP) \r\nmethod exploits two distinct calibrations: the in situ calibration \r\nof UK37 to lake water temperature and the calibration of scanning \r\nVIS-RS data to down core UK37 data. Using this approach, we produced \r\na quantitative temperature record that is longer and has 5 times \r\nhigher sampling resolution than the original UK37 time series, \r\nthereby allowing detection of temperature variability in frequency \r\nbands characteristic of the AMO over the past 7,000 years.\r\n","author":null,"citation":"von Gunten, L., W.J.
