It was found that \r\nthe recurrent drought history of a region can help us understand the \r\nvariability of precipitation. Several dry/wet periods during the past \r\nfour centuries and potential cycles of precipitation variation were \r\ndetermined. Furthermore, the reconstructions are not only consistent \r\nwell with each other in North-central China, but also in good agreement \r\nwith variations of precipitation in northeastern Mongolia, the Longxi \r\narea in Gangsu Province and the Dulan area of Qinghai Province, \r\nand the snow accumulation of the Guliya glacier. These synchronous \r\nvariations indicate that it is valuable to study various climate \r\nrecords, find common information and determine the driving force \r\nof climate change.\r\n","author":null,"citation":"Yi, L., H.
