In terms of overall magnitude, droughts of the \nrecent past are eclipsed by a sustained low-flow period lasting \nfor over 30 years in the early to mid-1600s. A comparison of \nreconstructed Snake River flow with streamflow reconstructions \nof the Colorado, Sacramento, and Verde rivers suggests that \nchanges in the predominance of zonal versus meridional atmospheric \nflow may have influenced drought patterns in the western \nUnited States through time. \n","author":null,"citation":"Wise, E.K. 2010. \nTree ring record of streamflow and drought in the upper Snake River. \nWater Resources Research, Vol. 46 (W11529). \ndoi:10.1029/2010WR009282. \n","edition":null,"identifier":{"id":"10.1029/2010WR009282 ","type":"doi","url":"http://dx.doi.org/10.1029/2010WR009282 "},"issue":null,"journal":"Water Resources Research","pages":null,"pubRank":"1","pubYear":2010,"reportNumber":null,"title":"Tree ring record of streamflow and drought in the upper Snake River","type":"publication","volume":null}],"reconstruction":"N","scienceKeywords":["PIFL","Pinus flexilis E.
