Purpose of Collection:  climate analysis.


Reference:
Vitas A. 1998. Dendroclimatological research of spruce forests in the
west and central Lithuania. Master thesis. Kaunas: Vytautas Magnus
University. 68 pp.

Forest type: Piceetum vaccinio-myrtillosum. Selected for climate
analysis. Soil condition-sand. Latewood and earlywood widths measured
with stereomicroscope, precision 0,05 mm. Detrending using cubic
smoothing spline preserving 67 f variance at wavelength of 21 years.
Dating quality control using Cofecha. Positive correlation with April
temperature and negative with January-February precipitation (response
