SPAIN Standardization: Negative exponential or linear regression of any slope and Smoothing spline fixed N The cores were collected in a Pinus pinea L. forest stand located in Budia (Guadalajara, Spain). This forest (public ownership) is about 150 ha in area, located in La Alcarria natural area, with Pinus pinea mixed with Quercus faginea as dominant tree species. Despite P. pinea is originally from Mediterranean Basin, in this forest was introduced 3 centuries ago (approximately, because one of the aims of this dendroecological study is to determine the date of such introduction). This study is part of a Research Project about Pinus pinea L. ecology in Central Spain.
