Lerbäck, Askersund, Sweden - SWED307 Additional Site Information Torbjörn Axelson Purpose of the collection: To test what correlation values to expect from archeological or historical samples from this area when crossdating towards available references from other more or less nearby locations. The collection consists of samples from 14 living Pine trees (PISY) growing just close to the roadside near the crossroads at Lerbäck on road 50 about 12 km north of the town of Askersund. Lerb11-Lerb14 are located just south-east of the crossroads. Lerb21-26 are located north-east of the crossroads. Lerb31-34 are on the west side of the main road. All trees except Lerb34, are growing on plain ground, probably moraine or sand. Lerb34 is growing on a small solid rock. Measurements were made from scanned images with a resolution of 1200 dpi using CooRecorder. All samples are analysed and crossdated with CDendro.
