DESCRIPTION: 
Precipitation reconstructions for Huashan, Shaanxi Province, 
in the central People's Republic Of China, based on Tree-Ring data.

MJMM = May-June recon. precip. in millimeters
MJSD = Sample depth for MXD
AJMM =  April-July recon. precip. in millimeters
AJSD = Sample depth for TRW

The chronologies (.CRN) and measurements (.RWL) these reconstructions 
are based on may be found on this server with filenames CHIN004*.*.
Four of the chronologies are based on x-ray densitometry measurements, 
and the following abbreviations have been employed:
chin004e = earlywood width
chin004l = latewood width
chin004n = minimum earlywood density
chin004x = maximum latewood density 
chin004 = total ring width (measured on a Bannister incremental 
measuring machine, rather than from the densitometer)

Due to vagaries of the density measurement process, the lengths
of the chronologies may differ.
